Springfield Developmental Center is a day training program for individuals with developmental disabilities. Our focus is to teach basic academic, vocational and living skills using various teaching techniques and tools to reinforce learning. We focus on personal skills required to prepare them for independent maintenance and economic self-sufficiency as deemed functional by their team. Examples of subject areas are: printing/writing, money skills (including the use of a calculator, planning purchases and shopping), community and social skills, gross motor, time and punctuality and work skills.

The mission of the Springfield Developmental Center is to support individuals with developmental disabilities in maximizing their physical, spiritual, emotional and social qualities in order to foster their independence in becoming cultured, competent and accepted members of a society ruled by Christian Principles.
